Staying on long-term antidepressants cuts the risk of suffering from depression again by 17%

Some 39% of people who take antidepressants will experience another depressive episode, compared to 56% who stop taking the drugs, researchers at University College London said.

Of the people whose deaths were announced Friday, three were in their 90s, six were in their 80s, three were in their 70s and one was in their 60s.
