Weekly Covid deaths in England and Wales fall to lowest levels in six months

Office for National Statistics data showed 400 people had the virus mentioned on their death certificates in England and Wales over the week to April 2. This was the lowest level since October.

The daily coronavirus update: Double-digit deaths for second day in a row; 82,716 total cases

Of the people whose deaths were announced Friday, three were in their 90s, six were in their 80s, three were in their 70s and one was in their 60s.
