On Sunday, the U.S. recorded 32,065 new coronavirus cases, which is the lowest figure seen since September 8, when 26,387 new COVID infections were reported.

The daily coronavirus update: Double-digit deaths for second day in a row; 82,716 total cases

Of the people whose deaths were announced Friday, three were in their 90s, six were in their 80s, three were in their 70s and one was in their 60s.
