Brazil coronavirus variant is now second most common in the US

There are now at least 434 cases of Brazil's P1 variant, which is capable of reinfecting COVID-19 survivors, in the U.S., according to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention tracking.

Of the people whose deaths were announced Friday, three were in their 90s, six were in their 80s, three were in their 70s and one was in their 60s.
